The Friends of Henry B. Plant Park is a non-profit organization founded on April 20, 1993 by a group of enthusiastic gardeners who were interested in restoring and nurturing Plant Park on the University of Tampa. This botanical heaven is located in the heart of downtown Tampa and offers a tranquil escape from the urban surroundings.

The Mission of the Friends of Plant Park is to cultivate community interest in education, restoration, preservation and maintenance of Henry B. Plant Park as a botanical garden, open to the general public. In addition, the goal is to use the garden's rich Victorian history to identify with the Old Tampa Bay Hotel and to bring Henry B. Plant Park to national prominence.
